To help you in achieving good oral health and prevent dental disease we strongly advise on the following:
Reduce sugary snacks by cutting down on the amount as well as the frequency of intake.
Brush twice a day for two minutes before bed and at another time in the day.
Do not rinse with water straight after brushing to avoid washing out the fluoride in the remaining toothpaste:
Use a fluoride toothpaste.
Regularly visit the dentist so that any problems can be treated early.
Be aware of hidden sugars such as in pure fruit juices. Aim to have fruit juice for example in small portions and close to your meal time. The NHS Change for Life campaign is useful.
Regular flossing can remove food between your teeth.
